The Drumming Man – Why Do We Do Ayahuasca Ceremony’s

I speak to many people who often comment in conversation about plant medicines that they would love to partake on Ayahuasca Ceremony’s.

I can understand why there is a spiritual mystery around plant medicine especially what we call Psychedelic’s.
So firstly what is a psychedelic well according to AI on google;

Altered States: Changes in awareness, perception (visuals, sounds), thought patterns, and sense of self.
• “Trips”: Experiences range from euphoric and insightful (“good trip”) to frightening (“bad trip”).
• Mind Expansion: A perceived opening of the mind to new understandings or deeper consciousness.
• Spiritual/Mystical: Often induces profound spiritual experiences, revelation, or ego dissolution.
I just want to talk about the trip for a moment good or bad , I remember Sting commenting on a documentary I think it was around LSD he said “ if you take LSD to F..k you up it will F..k you up, however if you take LSD fro a spiritual experience thats what you will receive “

In other words he was talking about intention ! When you go into a spiritual ceremony such as I experienced in Columbia the Shaman pre warned us to make sure we set an intention or intentions just before we took the medicine from the cup.

My own experience was to receive those intentions, I am not sure about the others in the group , I feel intentions are deeply personal and not something I would ask unless someone said they were called to share.
In my view and its only my view based on my own experience is I did go deep into an Altered State of Consciousness, I saw amazing colours and what were defiantly different realms , the medicine pushed my ego out of the way and opened me up to witness healing energies using me as a facilitor.
Sooo many people experience great healing from the medicine however the caveat about this is to heal we face our fears , our traumas that we are holding onto because we don’t know they are there until we begin a path of awakening. These traumas in my opinion are trapped energy or experiences we had as young children and they are trapped somewhere in our energy field.

Interestingly in February 2020 I went on to be trained in healing modalities, one is these drums on the wall behind me , they were painted by a lady that has an incredible healing gift , she was led by spirit or energies to paint these drums and create a portal in them to allow these energies to work through them hence I now take this team of drums into the world wherever people connect with me and want the experience of the healing drums, I am the drumming man .
Also I was trained in the ancient art of shamanic healing , going into an Altered State of Consciousness to clear and release the traumas we have just been discussing.

My advice to anyone that goes on the medicine journey , be aware there are dark energies as well as light some people really struggle when they return I have witnessed it , so know who you are going with and make sure they know and trust the shamans they are working with. Most importantly make sure you are supported when you return by an experienced coach that can help you integrate.
