Embrace the New – Let Go of What No Longer Serves You

As we move through our human journey at this moment in time, some of you may be feeling that life is becoming a little chaotic. Perhaps you’re experiencing a deep inner knowing, an intuition that it’s time to let go of the familiar and embrace new experiences as they come along your path.
I’m certainly experiencing this myself. For me, it’s about change and having to let go of what I’m familiar with, the things I would normally do, because something feels different. The energies have changed.
And the thing is, energies are always changing. The collective consciousness is constantly evolving, and because we’re all connected to it, we can feel those changes within ourselves.
For me, that’s part of the reason we’re here. We’re spirit experiencing life in a human body, learning and growing through what we might call our Earth school. We’re here to experience, to learn our lessons, and to discover more about who we really are.
So, the message I’d like to share with you today is this: try to embrace the changes that come into your life, rather than resisting them.
Sometimes we hold on to what’s familiar simply because it feels safe. We cling to old habits, old ways of thinking, and limiting beliefs that may have served us at one time but are now holding us back from moving forward.
Perhaps it’s time to let some of those things go and allow yourself to experience something new.
And if you’re not sure how to begin, make a little time for yourself each day to meditate. Just sit quietly, turn your attention inwards, and give yourself the opportunity to listen.
You might be surprised by what comes to you when you stop looking for all the answers outside yourself.
Sometimes, we don’t need to know exactly where we’re going. We just need to trust enough to take the next step.
So embrace the changes, release the resistance, and allow yourself to flow with life a little more.
And remember, sometimes what feels like chaos is simply an invitation to grow.

So, I thought I’d pull a card just to see what comes up on the back of that message.
And the card I’ve pulled is the Butterfly, which is really interesting, considering what we’ve just been talking about.
The butterfly is all about change and transformation. It’s about letting go of one coat, if you like, coming out of the chrysalis and emerging as this beautiful butterfly.
And that’s quite a powerful message, because it’s about letting go of old habits, old ways of thinking, or even an attachment to a particular lifestyle, and allowing something new to emerge.
So it’s almost as if this card is reinforcing the message we’ve just received.
But there’s another side to the butterfly as well, and that’s about lightening up and not taking everything so seriously.
Just flitter about a little bit! Think about the changes you’ve been considering, but don’t get too engrossed in them. Sometimes we can spend so much time thinking about what we should do, what we shouldn’t do, and what’s going to happen next, that we end up making things much harder for ourselves.
And I know we all do this, myself included.
Sometimes we just need to let go for a while, take a step back, and allow ourselves a bit of breathing space. Just pause and ponder on things, rather than feeling we have to work everything out there and then.
Because, in spite of the challenges we might be experiencing, the butterfly reminds us that we will pass through this transition.
You know that saying, “This too shall pass.”
And I think that’s really what this card is pointing towards. Change is part of our journey, and although we might not always understand what’s happening at the time, something new can emerge from it.
So perhaps the message is to trust the process a little more, let go of what no longer serves us, and remember to lighten up along the way.
I find it quite fascinating that this card has come up straight after the message we’ve just been talking about.
Perhaps it’s just the reminder some of us need right now.
Love and light.
